Feminist Center (formerly Feminist Women’s Health Center) has rebranded! We are now Feminist Center for Reproductive Liberation. See below for frequently asked questions. Have more questions? Contact [email protected].

Yes! Feminist Center is still a clinic, and we are committed to providing abortion care up to the legal limit. We are also continuing to offer safe, compassionate, sexual health and wellness services, gender-affirming care, and more as a core part of our mission. The catalyst for change was rewriting our mission and vision statements in 2022. We have been applying the new mission and vision to our day-to-day work ever since, and Feminist Center’s renaming is our way of applying these statements to our messaging strategies.

We renamed ourselves Feminist Center for Reproductive Liberation to embrace our expansive, inclusive vision for the future while also honoring our rich, trailblazing history. This shift is not just a name change. It is a declaration of our commitment to who we are today and to our community members - which include Black folks, people of color, and trans- and gender-nonconforming folks. It is also a recognition of our roots as an explicitly Feminist organization fighting for a world free from misogyny, gender oppression and violence. Learn more about our rebrand here.

Our name change is rooted in a commitment to recognizing the full gender spectrum of people impacted by reproductive justice issues. This change is our way of deepening ourselves in intersectional trans-inclusive feminism and being accountable to the broad scope of our communities, including women and so many more.

Reproductive liberation is our vision of the future, and it is what we practice every day in the clinic, community, and capitol. Though these three areas of work are very different, we are unified under one collective commitment to create a world where everyone has the rights, resources, and support they need to make decisions about their bodies, grow the families they desire, and live in dignity. For us, that is what reproductive liberation is all about.

Our logo is a series of overlapping squares that form three separate heart shapes. Each heart represents our work in the Clinic, Community, and Capitol. These three hearts meet to create an upward peak, indicating how we can build toward progress when we utilize multiple strategies for change. The squares themselves meet at many intersections, representing how identities, oppressions, and strategies for change can overlap. The heart-shaped graphics also represent our belief that all areas of our work are acts of radical love.

We remain steadfast in our current mission of providing reproductive health care including abortion, and building the movement for reproductive justice. While our services and programming may expand over time, our mission and vision remain the same. Read more about our mission and vision here.

No, our name change does not affect current community programs, clinic services, or other initiatives. To get the latest on our Center , sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Instagram @feministcenter.
