COVID-19 UPDATE: Our center is open and offering all our health services including abortion and sexual/GYN wellness services on a regular schedule. Annual Wellness Exams

An annual wellness or basic gynecology exam includes all or any combination of the following:

  • Pelvic exam
  • Pap test (Pap smear)
  • Breast exam
  • Heart, lung, and stomach screening
  • Basic lab and urine screenings

Additional Services

In addition to the basic exam, every patient can choose from any of our additional wellness services at affordable prices:

  • STD testing & treatment including HIV testing (anonymous or confidential)
  • Emergency birth control
  • Birth control options
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Safe sex supplies (condoms, dental dams, etc.)
  • Gardasil HPV vaccine
  • Menopause health care
  • Ultrasound

Emergency Contraception (also known as emergency birth control, morning after pill, Plan B or Ella) is a safe, effective and affordable means of preventing pregnancy when you have unprotected sex or when your other birth control method fails (e.g. condom breakage, forgetting to take pills, etc. Learn more about emergency contraception here

 

We offer a wide range of safe and reliable birth control options at Feminist Center. You can learn more about various types of birth control methods here.

Verification of pregnancy test is included in our abortion care services. For patients who only want to get a pregnancy test done, we offer it for a small fee. The test is available on a walk-in basis during regular business hours.

What to expect

  • We offer highly sensitive urine pregnancy tests.
  • You will receive a phone call from us with your test results.

We offer supportive and sensitive care to people who are experiencing early pregnancy loss (miscarriage). We understand that every patient’s situation is unique to them and thus offer personalized care based on your preferences, medical and pregnancy history.

Our treatments options include:

  • Waiting for tissue to naturally pass while monitoring progress
  • Using medication to help the tissue pass
  • Surgical procedures to remove the tissue

What to Expect:

  • Complete paperwork
  • Ultrasound
  • Lab work
  • Procedure: Medication or Surgical procedures, if desired or needed.

We know there is a lot of shame and stigma in our society around sexually transmitted diseases or infections. We also know that this may often prevent people from seeking the care that they need to be healthy and safe. Feminist Center is committed to providing non-judgmental and compassionate STI testing and treatment services to everyone no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity. So whether you are looking to get tested as a precaution or because you may have symptoms, our doors are open to you. We are here to help and we won’t judge you.

Our trained and compassionate providers will provide you with the care you need.  We offer tests and treatments for:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Hepatitis B and C
  • Herpes
  • Syphilis
  • Trichomoniasis infection
  • HIV

Feminist Women’s Health Center is committed to providing non-judgmental and compassionate HIV testing and counseling services to everyone no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity. So whether you are looking to get tested as a precaution or because you may have symptoms, our doors are open to you.

What to expect:

  • Blood test
  • Following your appointment, you will receive a phone call from us with your test results.
  • In case your test results are inconclusive or positive, we offer counseling services along with a referral to a treatment center.
