Leng Leng Chancey is an activist, community organizer and champion for human rights issues. Her longstanding passions revolve around social justice issues concerning communities of color, with “equitable access for all” as her motto. In 2013, Leng Leng, along with four other women, founded the Atlanta Chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, a national organization focusing on building a movement to advance social justice and human rights for AAPI women and girls in the United States. She served as a co-chair for the group for the first two years before joining the staff team as Director of Communications, and then later as Deputy Director of Systems and Sustainability.

Currently, Leng Leng serves as the Vice President of Development and Marketing for Quality Care for Children which has a mission to ensure that Georgia’s infants and young children are nurtured and educated. She is an avid volunteer in the community and currently also serves on the Board of Director for Access Reproductive Care-Southeast (ARC-Southeast) and the Southeast Immigrant Rights Network (SEIRN).

Leng Leng was born and raised in Singapore and came to the United States to attend Washington State University where she received her BA in History and Asian Studies. She has held numerous management positions in nonprofits such as the United Way of Greater Atlanta, Culture Connect, and Center for Pan Asian Community Services. She is also a trained facilitator for the Anti-Defamation League and facilitates training around cultural competency. In 2017, Leng Leng was honored by DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond with a Proclamation during Women’s History month for all her contribution to DeKalb County and beyond. In her spare time, she enjoys social change advocacy via the soulful beats of a Korean folk advocacy drumming group.
