Began providing safe, supportive, and non-judgmental abortion and gynecological care as part of a Federation of Women's Health Centers.
Provided services to women that infertility specialists in the South were unwilling to serve, including single women and queer women.
Launched organized advocacy efforts to advance reproductive justice through public policy and community action.
Collaboration to provide culturally informed health care services & help address healthcare needs of young queer women.
The Young Women's Leadership Institute enabled young women to develop reproductive justice, activist, and organizational leadership skills.
The Trans Health Initiative program was shaped and adapted by trans people.
Expanded community engagement efforts while increasing volunteer participation in reproductive justice advocacy.
Launched the Lifting Latina Voices Initiative, Georgia's only program dedicated to elevating Latina leadership, advocacy, and community engagement.
Continued partnerships with community leaders and organizations to foster the health, wellness, and leadership of Black women through the Black Women's Wellness Project.
Celebrated the first graduating class of the Errin J. Vuley Fellowship Program, developing the next generation of reproductive justice leaders and advocates.
Kwajelyn Jackson became the first Black Executive Director in Feminist Women's Health Center history, marking a significant milestone in the organization's leadership and commitment to reproductive justice.
Following the passage of HB481, Georgia's six-week abortion ban, Feminist Women's Health Center initiated a court challenge alongside community members to defend reproductive freedom and access to care.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Feminist Center maintained safe operations while providing mutual aid and emergency funding to support community members facing unprecedented challenges.
Served as a plaintiff in a legal challenge against the ACA State Marketplace while advocating for Medicaid expansion for pregnant people, helping advance access to affordable healthcare.
Following the fall of Roe v. Wade, Feminist Center continued challenging Georgia's six-week abortion ban while fighting to protect reproductive freedom and access to care.
Defeated anti-abortion bill SB456, paid off our building, launched electronic medical records, and successfully challenged restrictions on telemedicine access.
