The Trans Health Outreach Coordinator is responsible for FWHC’s outreach, education, and empowerment programs that center the needs and experiences of Trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender-expansive people. This person in this position is expected to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of reproductive health, rights, and justice and use an intersectional framework that examines how race, class, and gender affect public health outcomes in Georgia. The role will also act as a liaison to connect our education and leadership programs with direct clinic services and provide participants with a link to care. Part-time, grant-funded position.
- Develop and facilitate education and outreach programming targeted toward Trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender-expansive people
- Advocating for a policy that directly affects Trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender-expansive people, and helping people organize to advocate for themselves
- • Participate in community-based research that centers the experiences of Trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender expansive people, with a heightened focus on addressing existing health and social disparities that disproportionately affect Queer and Trans communities (i.e., housing insecurity, health care discrimination, state and interpersonal violence, fertility, and parenting, etc.)
- Recruit, organize, and educate Trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, and gender expansive people on key reproductive health and social issues, and connect them with opportunities to participate in our volunteer, intern, fellowship, and training programs, our health education and advocacy programs, or other appropriate activities with community partners
- Develop key contacts, maintain relationships, and cultivate partnerships with community organizers, key constituencies, and organizations, particularly those working at the intersections of race and gender or in support of reproductive rights, health, and justice
- Represents FWHC (Feminist Women s Health Center), along with other team members, in legislative coalitions, community events, tables, speaking engagements, and other functions as deemed appropriate by Supervisor
- Support updating information on community resources relevant to the outreach program.
- Connect with ongoing programmatic outreach that supports Community Education & Advocacy Network (CEAN) team, Clinic, and other community partners, and likewise through collaborative events and special projects • Write up-to-date related content for websites, social marketing sites, alerts, listserv messages, etc. and produce and create Trans Health listserv messages, with support from Development and Communications department
- Assist with identifying key contacts in targeted communities, developing leaders on the ground, and implementing mobilization strategies, with support from the Public Affairs Manager, Grassroots Organizing Coordinator, and other members of the CEAN team

- Understanding of and commitment to reproductive health, rights, and justice issues.
- Direct experience with social justice, organizing, and/or movement-building work is required. Experience with leadership development, volunteer engagement, civic engagement, voter education, and/or legislative advocacy is preferred.
- Experience with racial justice centering anti-blackness, intersectional analysis, TGNC, youth organizing, immigrant rights, disability justice, and/or LGBTQIA+ movements.
- Excellent planning, forecasting, strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong training, facilitation, and curriculum development experience.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt as needed, self-manage, and prioritize between and manage multiple demands.

- Currently, Depending on location, a combination of in-office and virtual office. Must be able to participate in online virtual communications including email, video conferencing, and other online tools used to facilitate virtual office culture and work sharing.
- Must be able to conduct business in English; however, fluency in languages other than English is a plus.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners. Employees are regularly required to communicate effectively via computer, via phone, and in person.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
