Counseling & Client Education

For more than thirty years, the Feminist Women's Health Center’s Cliff Valley Clinic has provided affordable and supportive care. As part of efforts to address all of the needs of women, we are proud to offer comprehensive counseling sessions.

Our counseling team includes two women with Master's degrees. Only those counselors or health advocates with optimum interpersonal and communications skills are part of this team, given the level of sensitivity and support offered at our clinic. Our counseling options include, but are not limited to:

Culturally Sensitive Counseling

A woman's cultural framework, which reflects her religious, spiritual, and moral beliefs, affects each woman's life decisions. We are committed to counseling that is woman-centered, stepping insider her framework and respecting her life view, providing her a safe place to explore her health care decisions.

Confidential Phone Counseling & Education

Women often have difficulty in obtaining answers to sexual health questions, especially those that are non-judgmental and medically accurate. Many traditional health providers shy away from these issues- or they may not be accessible. This is where our phone educators fill a critical need. Women are able to get factual and supportive answers to their questions, sometimes vital to their health, on a confidential basis, and without a clinic visit.

Fetal Anomaly Counseling

The Feminist Women's Health Center has established a supportive Pregnancy Termination program due to Fetal Anomalies to help women and their families who have made the difficult decision to terminate their pregnancy due to a fetal anomaly.<more information>
